Description:
Experience the majestic Columbia River Gorge and surrounding Mt. Hood areas with Oregon resident and photographer Jack Graham. There is no better time to experience the Columbia River Gorge and the Pacific Northwest than in the spring. Spring in the gorge is the peak time of the year for lush greenery and spring wildflowers that only adds to the endless scenic vistas that abound here in the Pacific Northwest this time of year. There are over 108 recognized waterfalls in over 1700 square miles of the gorge. We will photograph just some fo these waterfalls ranging from 600 feet to about 250 feet in height. May is just about the end of the rainy season. These endless waterfalls and easily accessed streams along the gorge and adjacent trails are at peak with the snow melt and runoff from the nearby Cascade Mountains. The long rainy winter in the gorge also provides some of the most spectacular vegetation found anywhere in the world. Ferns, mosses, and spring wildflowers combined with the world renowned rainforests make the Columbia River Gorge a one of a kind experience. Join Jack to explore the natural wonders of the gorge and surrounding areas, as well as some hidden gems known to the “locals”. This will be a truly memorable experience.
