Description:
The Redwoods of the northern California coast are one of the most magnificent natural wonders of the world. Hundreds of feet tall and tens of feet around a giant redwood tree is just about too big to believe and almost beyond description. This is why we have cameras!
This workshop is based in Crescent City on the remote northern Californian redwood coast. Based in the Redwood National Park and the various state and county preserves we will spend our time exploring all parts giant landscape. There are forest scenes to capture, especially in the morning when the fog rolls in and the sun just begins to break through, woodland wildflowers to photograph, wild beaches (often with elk on them!), tumbling streams and great banks of lush ferns and wonderful tide pools to see with orange seastars, green anemones and red and purple urchins to photograph. Crescent City also has perhaps the best rocky coast sunset locations of all workshop locations- close to the car, loads of seastacks and many foreground pools for colorful reflections. Come join us for a terrific photographic experience at the height of spring on the wild coast of California.
